[ Talking, well, he can do that. So he inclines his head toward the map in Daryl's hands. ]

Man's name on there, Rick? I know him. Last time I saw him, he said he had a place, that I should go there. But I couldn't hear him yet.

[ Something like recognition widens his eyes, just the barest moment, the slightest flicker. But he's quiet for a long moment, turning it over, before he speaks. ]

Place is long gone, [ he says finally, shifting his weight, minutely relaxing though considering where they are you bet he's still on edge. ] But if you been followin' us, maybe you knew that already.

[ He gives a nod there, solemn, quiet. ]

I did. I am sorry for that.

[ Just as he had feared, as he had essentially predicted. He wasn't pleased to see that it had come to pass. ]

You're still with him? And his boy, is he... ?

[ Never really need to finish that question in this world, do you? ]

Carl, [ he affirms. ]. He's all right.

[ And this guy, he's all right, too. Rick trusts him which means Daryl does, too. ]

We found a new place. Maybe.

[ His face warms a bit, with the assurance that Carl is all right. He couldn't save his own son, and that was a loss nobody should experience.

Slowly, he raises his head, considering the statement, the maybe on it. ]

Place Aaron mentioned?

[ He nods. ]

We're headin' back.

[ Implicit in that is the offer to tag along. Between knowing the man by reputation and what just happened, Daryl's more than ready to vouch for him. ]

Be good for Rick to see you.

It will.

[ And he smiles, small and sincere, and lowers his head momentarily. Yes, he's following. If Daryl knows Rick, if he's with him, then Morgan is here to be with him, too. And his heart, his faith, does not lead him toward suspicion based on what he's seen from Daryl, or from Aaron. Nothing in their actions, their words or their reactions, speak to deceit. ]

Be good for me to see him, too. Maybe find a place I can be.

[ he hums vaguely at that, and adds, a little absently, ]

[ they're not sure, after all, how far this place can be trusted. Which is half of why Daryl's out here, because he can't get out from under people's stares. And the other half... Well, it's because he's trying, too. ]
