He shrugs - poor, poor pitiful me - and gives Bill a smile that's only going to get him into hotter water. There's no saving him, though; none of this seems like a big deal to him, and he's utterly incapable of pretending it is. It's a free country, after all, and Dana can go wherever she wants with whoever she wants. If her probably-brother doesn't like it, he can tell the nearest hole in the ground.
