As much as she appreciates his efforts, it'll take a while to stem this flood of tears; it's a broken dam, the sweep of everything she's held back. She's always kept her feelings on a tight leash, but she's lost hold of it now.

"I missed you so much," she gasps, the words soaked with raw grief. Blindly she reaches for his arm, fingers closing around his wrist to drag his hand down to her belly.

"I thought he was all I'd ever have of you."
