"Well... The progression is consistent but the timeline is unpredictable; it's mainly spread through blood contact, though there seem to be other vectors we don't understand as well... Based on some of the data available I think there might be a link between this and whatever mechanism governs the transformations."

She is deeply grateful that the wound from her own... encounter... has healed over, and that she doesn't have to explain that.
